Care-Clean-Create
Delighted to be interviewed by Katy Styles of the We Care Campaign and Laura Barnes for the Carefully Considered podcast series.
We discuss how I balance my 'care, clean, create practice',, and how art has helped me to cope with being a carer to my life partner, a stroke survivor..
We talk about the power of being creative and how it helps make sense of the world around us. We also discuss the relevance of the Japanese technique called Kintsugi, a traditional repair technique using gold, as interpreted in my work in cloth, to show the value of the hardships we go through.
This talk is available on all your usual platforms or via this link. Do like, subscribe and let us know what you think about this episode.
I was delighted to offer an online Zoom workshop to students from West Dean College last week. Being able to work more flexibly with projects partners such as West Dean as enabled me to continue offer courses and equally provides me with the intellectual and creative challenge I enjoy as part of the process of teaching..
You can see details of future exhibitions and teaching on my website..
