A Sense of Place
I recently returned from Australia, where the weather was just a tad warmer. But, despite the rain and cold, I am pleased to see the Wisteria is coming out and the garden is starting to bloom with a promise of Summer.
I am delighted to have been invited by Textileartist.org to write another article about my recent experiences in Australia, Finding inspiration for textile art. You can see bits of my day to day activities and even sketches of a deceased Wattle Birds.
A related article Sketch to Stitch looking at other aspects my design processes appears in Stitch magazine August/September issue. I am taking part in exhibitions in the UK and in Europe in June including Open Studios so will have a busy June.
Missing the warmth (heat) in Australia, my friends on the 'Big Island' but glad to be back.
