Witch Hazel and welcome to 2013

Yippee The Witch Hazel is out in my garden. Spring is round the corner.

After a very busy last few months
of 2012 with the Knitting and Stitching Show I finished my teaching year at West Dean in mid December. The break has been spent quietly at home taking a breather. I went for a few walks over Mote Park and on wet days made some sketches of pots on my windows inspired by things seen in and around West Dean College in Chichester when teaching in December.

I am preparing for my Australia trip in March and for an exhibition in a monastery in the Netherlands in February and an exhibition based on envelope art in Germany. I have made a series called Land Maps.

Detail on exhibitions and events page.

Now back to the sketches before teaching begins next week.

Land Map Fenland

I love the Fenland Land Map - so evocative for me as I grew up on the edge of the Fens.
