April, exhibition, work and action

April begins with a little opportunity to me to exhibit and work away from home.

Flight by Art Textiles Made In Britain closes at Ace Arts in Somerton on April 11th before moving to Mandells in Norwich I will be at the opening on  Saturday 25th April. The exhibition closes 23rd May

(Work above Cas Holmes, Stepahniie Redfern and Rosie James)

I am also delighted to be exhibting Great Grandmother and Lace in the Timelessness of Stitch Exhibtion with Timeless Textiles in Newcastle, Australia from 1st April

Teaching:
I have a number of short courses and taster sessions coming up over the next few months. My next course at West Dean Sussex in April is full but look out for my September residential and London courses here..
For those who find learning online easier to attend I have a two session online course Layers, Lines and Image with Crafty Monkies  coming up on Saturday 16 May and 13 June. This will be available as a recording for those unable to attend on the day. I will also be running Extreme Stitching with South West Art Courses from Wednesday 6th May for three weekly sessions.

For those who live locally join me for an opportunity to join me discover your local history through drawing in partnership with
Community Archaeologist Andrew Mayfield on Saturday 2nd May  or enjoy a Watercolur Walk on Wednesday 1st July in Mote Park  supported by Maidstone Creative

Finally, it was my great pleasure to support the We Care Campaign as part of the Stitched Up project in partnership with Cost of Living Action in Westminster last week to tell the real story of the cost of living crisis for carers - directly to people making decisions about our lives.

I fully intended to give one of my pieces to an MP or representative on the day but got so involved in discussion I forgot.

All  my exhibitions and workshops as they come in are listed on my website.

Fondly

Cas
